The platform handles the GSMA TS.43 protocol layer without replacing your existing BSS or systems.

What is Entitlements-as-a-Service (EaaS)?
Entitlements-as-a-Service is a managed platform that makes the real-time entitlement decision — whether a given subscriber, on a given device, in a given market, may use a service such as Wi-Fi Calling, VoLTE or eSIM — and handles the device-facing TS.43 protocol, so mobile operators do not build or run that layer themselves. It connects to the operator's existing systems through defined ports rather than replacing them.
How is EaaS different from an entitlement server?
An entitlement server is a product you deploy and operate. Entitlements-as-a-Service delivers the same underlying capability as a managed, multi-tenant service — with the device lifecycle, OEM certification and operational assurance absorbed — so the operator consumes the decision layer rather than running the software.
What is GSMA TS.43?
GSMA TS.43 is the Service Entitlement Configuration standard that devices use to check whether a network service is authorised. U2opia's TS.43 device edge supports multiple specification versions concurrently and handles per-OEM behaviour, so handsets already in the field keep working when the specification moves.
Do we have to replace our BSS?
No. The platform connects through six defined integration ports — subscriber data, network identity, provisioning, SIM provisioning, charging and notification. Your BSS keeps its interfaces, and no subscriber data is migrated to a new system of record.
Where does our subscriber data live?
In the jurisdiction you nominate. Residency is enforced by construction, with four isolation tiers up to deployment inside your own estate, and operator credentials held at a secure edge within your environment.
Which services can we launch first?
Wave 1 covers services that need no new commercial construct — Wi-Fi Calling, VoLTE and VoNR, and a smartwatch on one number — proving the full path on your network against a metric you already track before any monetisation work begins.
How is it priced?
Metering is per billable decision, defined precisely. Cache hits inside a validity window are not charged, so cost tracks usage rather than your total subscriber count — and you can audit your own bill.
